School Profile
History of Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University (VRU)
Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Under The Royal
Patronage was founded by His Holiness Somdetch Phra Pituchha Chao Fa. Valaya
Alongkorn, Klong Luang, Princess of Phetchaburi. H.R.H. Putri Valaya Alongkorn
is very concerned with the education of young Thai women. Therefore, on June 4,
2475 BC. (1932 C.E), he donated four rai (64 hectares) of land to the Ministry
of Education to establish the Petchburiwittayalongkorn Teacher Training School.
The address for this original contribution is currently number 153, Petchburi
Road, Thung Phayathai, Rajathevi District, Bangkok. This land and building
previously belonged to Phraya Phactpongsawisutthathibordi (Sun Sundravej). The
first group of students was teacher training students, other post-secondary
students, and middle school students (Matthayom 7 and 8) who were transferred
from Benjamorajalai School. Ajarn Nilrat Bansitvorasan as the first school
principal with the symbol of the "P" letter school. Choose green as
the school color, the color is typical with Wednesday. on Wednesday, students
will wear green uniforms. Wednesday is the birthday of H.R.H Putri Valaya
Alongkorn was born. Since then, the institution established by His Majesty has
carried out post-secondary education tasks, specializing in training students
to become teachers and secondary school education.

Alongkorn Rajabhat University Demonstration School or Satit Valaya Alongkorn
Rajabhat University. School director is Dr. Naree Kuharuengrong and assistant of director is
Mr. Thammarat Roobkom. This school located in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat
University Area. Adress is Moo 20 Phaholyothin Road, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat
University under the Royal Patronage Demonstration School, Klong Nueang

Satit VRU mission is to prepare the students
best qualities in Science, Mathematics, , English and Chinese. Second mission, to develop the students in Thai traditions
of the local community and Thai cultures. Third mission, to develop Ethnic and
Morality in students. Four mision, to encourage the
students abilities in Traditional Thai music, Thai dance, Chorus, Western music
and sports. So, last mission to be research school
for Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Under The Royal Patronage, Faculty of
Education students.

Objectives
:

To study, research, and to be a lab to develop the
student for psychology consultancy and learning theory of student progress in
every level.

To demonstrate, research, and develop curriculum,
method, evaluation, and assessment of curriculum.
3.
To be the place to practice teaching, to train to
work, and to develop the occupation of student in faculty of education, Valaya
Alongkorn Rajabhat University Under The Royal Patronage and other faculties in
other universities.

To be the model school for service area of Valaya
Alongkorn Rajabhat University Under The Royal Patronage.
5.
To be the place where to held seminars to study and
promote the culture and costume in other of maintain the heritage.

Teaching System
The Valaya Rajabhat University Demonstration School under the Royal Patronage system (DS.VRU) has a good teaching system, especially in General Science. The teacher prepares lesson plans before teaching for a good learning journey. At Satit Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University, in a week general science learning is taught 3 hours in one class. The teacher uses learning methods and models efficiently, effectively and learning can be accepted by students easily. In science lessons more often lab works in the laboratory. Student learning hours at Satis of VRU from 8 am to 4 pm. But before the study hours at 07.30 in the morning, a National Flag Ceremony was held and accompanied by collecting cellphones.

Material and Other Learning Source
The material and subject matter at the Satit Valaya University Alongkorn Rajabaht is quite complete. Even in the third week when I was there meeting Satit VRU got materials and media lessons such as books in English, laboratory equipment and much more. This helps and supports learning activities at Satit VRU especially to develop their language. Not only that, in science lessons, teachers apply STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with a science day that requires students to recycle plastic into clothing and make a product. In the classroom as well as in the laboratory it is also equipped with AC, each teacher has a microphone that is used to teach, it is very helpful for managing the classroom with many students.

Measurement and Evaluation System
Students' measurement and evaluation there are two semesters in each year. One semester separates into two tests there is a midterm and final examination.

The curriculum used in the Demonstration School of VRU The curriculum used at the School is based on the Core Curriculum for Basic Education B.E 2551 (A.D. 2008), from the Ministry of Education in Thailand.

Teaching Plan
Preparing
only one teaching plan in secondary level Satit Valaya Alongkorn Rajabaht University that is for mathayom 1/2, 1/3 IEP classes, mathayom 1/4 and also 1/5 standard Program class. One lesson plan
and the same material but for four classes.
